We are Vicky and Chris of Thimbleberry Farm.

Many years before meeting each other, we both developed an interest in growing food and living the farm life. We moved to Terrace in search of land, suitable growing climate, and a supportive community in which to grow a farm business. In 2017, we purchased a small gem of an acreage on Braun’s Island.

With a focus on efficiency, simplicity, and our concern for ecology in mind, we continue to grow the farm in ways that promote soil health, reduce waste, and minimize our dependence on fossil fuels. Animal welfare is of utmost importance to us. We raise animals in ways that allow them to express their natural behaviours, while providing them with diverse and biologically appropriate diets. In turn, they contribute to our food security and to the fertility of our farm.
